Welcome to my Friday dribble where we talk things agri sport and life.
Only one month and 3 days until Santa arrives…
This week saw the govt body that tracks money laundering come out with some news about WBC. They said that one of our biggest banks had allowed 23m transactions to occur with money being sent to dodgy accounts in Philippines. Let’s think about that….23m transactions. If you use a debit card say 10 times a day, maximum, that’s 3,640 transactions per year…..How can someone, or a group of people do 23m transactions to one country and no-one see’s it…?? Mind blowing stuff. If I was a board member or senior management at WBC, I’d be pooping bricks about now..!!
Last week I mentioned the good work that the Meat and Livestock corp are doing with emissions in cows and sheep. Or ruminant animals as some people call them. If you’re interested check out the attached.https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=nPMdtmQMud8&feature=youtu.be
Went to the Clover Corp (CLV) agm today. This is a truly great Australian business and the markets for the use of their products is growing strongly. Infant formula is still very important but other uses are developing.
On sport and the disaster that is Australian Rugby Union administration has nearly finished playing out… What a debacle. On the back of a poor showing in the world cup, they lost their coach, Chairman and 2 non-executive directors…. and maybe the CEO should go as well..?? Then they appointed a kiwi as the new coach. With a kiwi CEO and a kiwi coach will we ever beat the All Blacks..?? I think not.
